Summerfields House is set in peaceful parkland, part of what used to be the country house estate of Lord Brisco which later became a famous preparatory school, educating sons of several royal families including King Hussein of Jordan and his brother, and Prince Rainier of Monaco. The school moved to Oxford in the mid 1960's and the present Summerfields House was the residence of the headmaster.

The present owner has been in residence since 1969 and the house is now entering it's seventh year as a guest house.
